Although Friday night came in with ice and cold, Thursday night just offered a bit of rain, giving some of the pols at large a fair chance to do their stuff. At left Democrats Kate Mauldin (fresh from a lengthy exile in Chicago) and John Marek were among the 200 or so attending a meet-and-greet for District 97 state House candidate Allan Creasy (back to camera) at the Starlight Event Center. Marek contributed a karaoke number, “Now or Never,” actually managing the final high note. Meanwhile, in Germantown, Lee Harris didn’t sing, but a piano served the Democratic county mayor candidate as a prop as he did a meet-and-greet of his own at the home of Peggy Duhamel and Jim Gurney.
