On Stage tonight, Grease Opens at The Orpheum; at TheatreWorks, it s opening night of the Emerald Theatre Company s production of Out Tonight II A Celebration of Pride, a cabaret show featuring some of Broadway s most famous musical hits; at Theatre Memphis, it s opening night of Morning s at Seven, a comedy about four sisters who are deeply involved in each other s lives; and Voices of the South open their three-day run of ZMississippi Stories: Eudora Weltyat Buckman Performing Arts Center, a comedy about Sister trying to become liberated from her family. And there are plenty of art openings tonight. They are at: Painted Planet Art Space for A Pain in the Glass, glass and painted work by 12 Memphis artists; One Love Organic Juice Bar and Soulful Vegetarian CafÇ for works by Jerry and Terry Lynn; DCI Gallery for Like Father, Like Daughter, paintings by Eddie and Catherine Tucker; Midtown Artist Market for works by Keith Rash; and Albers Fine Art Gallery for a summer exhibition of two- and three-dimensional works by six artists. Bill Heard & Alvie Givhan are at CafÇ Soul tonight. Kaya & The Welders are at the North End. The Reba Russell Band is at Patrick s tonight and tomorrow night. And, as always, The Chris Scott Band is at Poplar Lounge.
