Today, there’s the rescheduled Southern Heritage Classic, which starts with a Classicf\ Tailgate party at 8 a.m., followed by the football gtame at Liberty Bowl Stadium with Jackson State playing Tennessee State. Afterward is Classic Fame, an indoor/outdoor bash with soul, hip-hop, and R&B music at the Ivy. And if you want to get out later and wash down all this turkey, Preston Shannon is playing tonight at Isaac Hayes’ Club in Peabody Place, and The Asylum Street Spankers are at the Hi-Tone.
