One more art event: This one is an Art Show at the Hilton Hotel with works by twin artists Kendy Bringhurst and Kay Tune. At Davis-Kidd Booksellers today, Memphis magazine dining columnist Nicky Robertshaw will be signing copies of her new book, The Insiders Guide to Memphis. There s a John Stambaugh Memorial Service at 3 p.m. today at Grace St. Luke s Episcopal Church; John was the young man who was murdered in September while delivering a pizza. Today s Harbor Town Dog Show in Nursery Park gives you a chance to show off your pooch and raise money for the Memphis Humane Society. At the other end of Downtown, on South Front, there s an October Wine and Beer Tasting at Fratelli s Market & Grill. And just around the corner, the Butler Street Bazaar features a farmer s market, live music, and vendors selling all sorts of things. Tonight s annual Midtown Rhythm & Blues Party at Askew Nixon Ferguson Architects features live music by Venus Mission and Billy Gibson, with proceeds benefiting Porter-Leath Children s Center. The Binghampton Rhythm Section is at the Blue Monkey tonight. Sandra Bray is at French Quarter Suites. Native Son is at the Full Moon Club. And at The Lounge, there s tonight s NARAS Independent Music Forum Showcase with The Scott Sudbury Band, The Gamble Brothers Band, Richard Johnston, and Piston Honda.
