HIJINKS AT CORDOVA HIGH

According to various news reports, Cordova High School’s principal, Sonny Eilert, has asked the school board to help tone down the bizarre antics that have become part and parcel of Cordova’s commencement ceremonies. According to the AP, rowdy students and parents have taken over the show by tossing beach balls and using megaphones to amplify their voices. It had also been reported that at least one student dropped his pants and will have to do community saervice if he wants his diploma. So how exactly can the school board assist in putting a stop to all this nonsense? By establishing guidelines, of course: limiting the number of tickets available for the event, permitting searches of those who do attend, and allowing for the confiscation of any potentially disruptive items. Like pants.
