Tonight s art openings are at: Broadway Studio for work by Keith Rash; back at Republic Coffee House for I Dig a Pygmy, paintings by Lamar Sorrento; Perry Nicole Fine Art for sculptures by Jillian Banks; and if you want to take a cool little road trip, head over to Horseshoe Lake to the Bruins Supper Club & Gallery for an opening reception for works by Betsy Brackin, 5:30-7:30. You ll love it. On stage it s opening night of Mark Twain Moments at Sleeping Cat Studio, featuring some of Twain s most clever stories compiled by Jeff Possum. Back at the Hi-Tone, tonight s WEVL Spring Concert features live music by The Brad Postlethwaite Band, The Glass, and The Coach and Four. At Davis-Kidd Booksellers this evening, there s a Wine & Cheese Tasting with Barbara Nowak and Beverly Wichman authors of The Saucy Sisters Guide to Wine offering up tips on wine selecting, serving, and appreciation. Tonight s Movie Night for Charity at Midtown Artist Market Gallery benefits Hope House, the Wolf River Conservancy, and the Memphis Film Forum. Spoken word artist Henry Rollins is at the New Daisy tonight. And, as always, The Chris Scott Band is at Poplar Lounge.
