She recounted how a teacher in Midland, Texas, once sent a future president to the principal’s office for disrupting his fourth-grade music class by drawing sideburns on his face and crooning to other students. Bush said, “You listen, you challenge, you motivate and mentor and you inspire children to believe they can do anything or be anything they want, even if they dream of beconing Elvis, which was one little boy’s hope who grew up in Midland, Texas.'” It’s such a shame the poor little Texan couldn’t sing.
