Many people were shocked and surprised by the arrest of West Memphis’ “Naked Jogger,” Fate Patterson. But not the Pesky Fly. We’ve been covering the freeballing exploits of Patterson, whose list of priors include fully clothed arrests for robbery and kidnapping. Here’s an excerpt from “And Lo, He Was Ashamed,” a Fly on the Wall column dated March 7, 2001: “When asked why he fled when police attempted to pull him over, West Memphian Fate Patterson answered, ‘Because I was naked.’ Of course that’s not entirely true.
