Many UAB fans thought their team had won and as the Tigers sprinted off the floor, they stormed the court and scuffles broke out.

Anderson had 27 points and Douglas-Roberts had 32 on a night when their teammates were ice-cold. Point guard Derrick Rose made only two of 13 shots. Joey Dorsey and Robert Dozier scored a total of one point between them. But somehow Memphis pulled it out in the end and lives to retain its number one ranking for another week.
