JOEY DORSEY (2004-08)

- Joey Dorsey
Despite some off-court trouble, probably the most popular Tiger of the decade. Exuded personality, from one extreme to the other. (After refusing to speak with the press during his junior season, Dorsey chose the NCAA tournament stage to publicly compare himself and Ohio State star Greg Oden. Dorsey considered himself Goliath, sadly, and the Buckeye David.) Had a double-double (10 points, 16 rebounds) in first college game, and 25 more over his four-year career. Twice named Conference USA’s Defensive Player of the Year (2007, 2008). Second in Tiger history in games played (149), blocked shots (264), and rebounds (1,209). Played for three C-USA champions and in 14 NCAA tournament games.
