The public golf course at Audubon Park will be closed temporarily so that improvements can be made to the greens and irrigation system.

The greens on the 18-hole course will be upgraded to championship Bermuda grass. The course will close May 31st and reopen in late August, according to the Division of Park Services.

During the renovations, there will be expanded hours at two other city courses, Pine Hill and Fox Meadows. They will be open seven days a week at 7 a.m. on weekdays and 6 a.m. on weekends.

The fate of the city’s three nine-hole golf courses remains uncertain pending City Council budget decisions.
