MM_June10Cover.jpg

It’s that time again. Time to hit “Save” and mail that short story of yours to Memphis magazine’s annual fiction contest. And maybe it’s time you won a grand prize of $1,000. (Two honorable mention awards of $500 each if quality warrants.)

Entries must be postmarked by August 1st, and stories should run between 3,000 and 4,500 words (double-spaced on pages that are unstapled and numbered). And no, your story (or stories: multiple submissions permitted) need not have a Memphis or Southern theme, but authors must live within a 150-mile radius of Memphis.

Mail manuscripts (along with your name, address, phone number, and the title of your story on a separate sheet of paper), along with a $10 entry fee per story submitted, to Fiction Contest, c/o Memphis magazine, P.O. Box 1738, Memphis TN 38101. No stories by fax or e-mail, please.
