The rate of positive coronavirus slumped in Shelby County from Thursday to Friday. New numbers from the Shelby County Health Department showed 46 new cases of the virus from 1,686 tests given yesterday. That puts the county’s positivity rating at around 2.7 percent, down from yesterday’s rate of 4.6 percent. Four new deaths were recorded Thursday. So far, 78 have died here from the virus.
