The rate of positive coronavirus from testing held steady in Shelby County from Saturday to Sunday. New numbers from the Shelby County Health Department showed 78 new cases of the virus from 1,775 tests given yesterday.
That put the county’s positivity rating for Saturday at around 4.4 percent, the same as Friday. The county has averaged a positivity rate of 7.2 percent since the virus arrived here in March.
No new deaths were recorded Saturday. So far, 84 have died here from the virus.
