With an eclectic style that touches on folk, country, classical, and pure noise, Bill Frisell has been one of the leading jazz guitarists for a few decades now. The Grammy-winning Frisell (his 2005 disc Unspeakable won for “Best Contemporary Jazz Album”) hits town this week with a quartet that includes Ron Miles on trumpet, Tony Scherr on bass, and Kenny Wollesen on drums. The Bill Frisell Quartet plays the Hi-Tone Café on Monday, May 2nd. Doors open at 9 p.m. Tickets are $10. — Chris Herrington
