After August 8th, Hickory Hill residents will have to drive a little further to purchase license plates or apply for marriage licenses. The Shelby County Clerk’s Office in the Hickory Ridge Mall is closing due to budget constraints.

The office, which also collects liquor taxes, issues business licenses, and swears in deputy sheriffs, will retains its other seven locations.
