• Lee’s Fresh Sushi, famously sold in a gas station in East Memphis, is now sold in a gas station downtown. I recently spotted it at the BP on Riverside and Carolina.
• The Viking Cooking School at Park Place Centre is closing shop on March 16th. All items in its retail store are 25% off.
• World in a Skillet authors Paul and Angela Knipple‘s new book Farm Fresh Tennessee, a guide to farmers markets, u-picks, farm stands, and more, will be released in March. The Knipples’ next project involves catfish, lots of catfish.
• Next week, Memphis will be all-Oregon all the time, or just about. Joe Liquor’s Passport to Oregon wine tasting on February 21st has long since sold out, but you can still get in on the Oregon action with two upcoming dinners.
