Grammy nominated, platinum-selling rapper Rick Ross recently opened his fourth Wingstop location in the Memphis metropolitan area. The latest restaurant is stationed in Bartlett (2839 Bartlett Blvd).
“We’re excited to open our doors and give Bartlett the best made-to-order wings on the planet,” Ross said in a press statement. “We’ve got a huge fan base here, and I’m excited to show my love for the brand by bringing Wingstop to the community. We invite wing fanatics in the area to stop in and enjoy the food.”
Aside from the new Bartlett location, Ross currently owns and operates three other Wingstop restaurants in the Memphis area. The three other restaurants are located at 7706 Winchester Road, 4697 Poplar Avenue, and 182 Goodman Road West. He’s prepping to open a fifth location at 1619 Union in Midtown this summer.
Rick Ross first brought attention to his love for Wingstop on his song “MC Hammer.” On the track, he spits, ”She thinking Phillipe’s, I’m thinking Wingstop/Fiending lemon pepper, I got my thing cocked.”
Ross has a multi-unit, multi-state deal with Wingstop. He owns and operates multiple Wingstop locations in other parts of Tennessee as well as Florida, Alabama, and Mississippi.
Wingstop was founded in 1994 and is headquartered in Dallas, Texas. There are currently more than 625 restaurants across the U.S., Mexico, Russia and Singapore. Wingstop offers classic and boneless wings in 10 different sauces including Original Hot, Cajun, Atomic, Mild, Teriyaki, Lemon Pepper, and Garlic Parmesan.
