New Daisy Gets New Look, Management

New Daisy Theater – Facebook

The New Daisy Theater is getting a new look and a new management team that hope to breathe new life into the Beale Street standby.

Business partners Steve Adelman and J.W. Gibson bought the New Daisy’s lease this month and plan a full restoration of the music venue beginning in February 2015. The partners said they want to transform the New Daisy into a “top tier venue for national touring acts” see it developed into “a prominent music brand.”

Adelman and Gibson are currently at work renovating The Palace, a brand new nightlife venue at 380 Beale that once housed the much-troubled Club Crave. The Palace is set to open next year.

Adelman said the New Daisy project “is a key part of our planned growth process, not only of Beale Street, but of Downtown as well. Combined with The Palace and the potential of the FedExForum, east Beale Street now has the ability to be a top national player in live music. Having three unique world-class venues within a block of each other is truly something unique.”

The renovated New Daisy Theater will have capacity for 1,110 people, VIP viewing boxes, an expanded balcony, a smoking patio, and new audio and video systems. It will also have new bars and expanded restroom facilities.
