There are good ideas like sliced bread and dog sweaters, and then there are great ideas. BreakFest, the breakfast-centric festival, ranks among the great ideas.
More than 500 tickets were sold to Saturday’s event, and the organizers donated $2,000 to the Urban Bicycle Food Ministry.
Among the food competitions: Breakfast sweets, bloody mary, bacon lovers, omelet, anything goes, and breakfast sandwich.
“We’re absolutely doing it again next year,” says organizer Christin Yates.
