Last week I stopped by Republic Coffee for lunch and ordered the Pedro, a nice barbecue-style sandwich with tofu, slaw, and chipolte sauce ($7).
Sandwiches come with a choice of side — carrot souffle, fruit, mac & cheese, among them — but I opted for the cheese grits because I always, without fail, order cheese grits when I see them on the menu.
