Beer Garden in Germantown Opening July 14

The Saddle Creek Beer Garden in Germantown is set to open Saturday, July 14th.

The beer garden will go in the old Grimaldi’s space. It will be open three days a week — Friday and Saturday, 4 to 9 p.m. and Sundays, 2 to 6 p.m.

Lowell Hinte, co-owner of Bar Ties, will be running the beer garden. He says that it was Ryan Gill, General Manager of Doc’s, a liquor store in Germantown, who got the ball rolling.

It was Gill who recognized the potential of the Grimaldi’s space as a new-day Tennessee Brewery. He approached Hinte with the idea, knowing the Bar Ties guys could handle it.

They plan to make use of the property, both inside and out. There will be bars on the inside and Hinte says he’ll bring his new horse trailer bar. Live music will be on the inside. There will be games as well, like a giant Connect 4 and, of course, corn hole. Food trucks, such as Sushi Jimmi, Say Cheese!, and Grisanti 9 Dough 1, will work the event as well.

“Hopefully, people like it,” he says. “It’s not unique in the grand scheme of things, but it is unique to Germantown.”
