Developers want to put a hotel on Beale Street, two townhouse subdivisions in the South End, a townhouse subdivision in Cooper Young, a hotel near Wolfchase Mall, and a big, new apartment complex at Winchester and Forest Hill Irene.
All of these case will be heard during the next meeting of the Land Use Control Board on May 11.

Beale hotel – Hernando-Miss.-based KNM Development Group have planned a six-story, 101-room Best Western on what is now a vacant lot on the east side of Beale Street across the street from Robert Church Park.
The project would be built in between Beale and Gayoso. Details in public documents are scant. Though, the Beale entrance would have a fountain.

South End town homes – Go Tigers LLC wants to build a 30-lot townhouse subdivision on a giant vacant lot in the South End at the corner of Riverside and Carolina.
The Hamilton Terrace subdivision would have a private drive, common space, and a lot for a future, multi-story mixed use building.

Cooper-Young subdivision – JBJ Properties LLC wants to build a five-unit town house development at the corner of Bruce and Oliver in Cooper Young.
Oliver Place PD would feature five, two-bedroom units. The plans say a landscape buffer will be used to separate the development along the street and its boundaries with other properties.

Wolfchase hotel – Boca Raton, Fla.-based Onyx Hospitality hopes to bring a four-story, 100-room Courtyard Marriott to the Woflchase area.
The hotel would be built on the north side of New Brunswick, east of the mall.

Forest Hill-Irene apartments – A Wisconsin company hopes to build a 296-unit apartment complex to the corner of Forest Hill-Irene and Winchester.
The apartments would be spread over 13 buildings and yield a total of 424 bedrooms to the area. The project would have green spaces, a clubhouse, and a pool.
