Stay in tonight and speed read God’s Problem: How the Bible Fails to Answer Our Most Important Question — Why We Suffer. Then show up at the Benjamin L. Hooks Library for the Memphis Freethought Alliance’s discussion of the book by Bart Ehrman on Saturday at 5 p.m.
Not into the atheist thing? No problem. Get closer to Jesus during the Sunset Travelers’ gospel performance at the National Civil Rights Museum on Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m.
Round out the weekend on Sunday inside the air-conditioned Circa where Chef John Bragg will prepare a Farmer’s Market Dinner, a five-course meal made with fresh, local produce and meats.
