Charrettes Are the New Black

In July, a charrette — community design sessions — was held for the downtown area around Winchester Park.

Now it’s Germantown’s turn. Per the city Web site: “Imagine designing a city, complete with a revitalized and energetic center that encompasses things to do, places to shop, and places to live. It’s not a computer game; the planning process is becoming a reality in Germantown.

City leaders want citizen input in defining the future of Germantown’s central and outlying business districts. They’ve set September 20 through 26 as a week for resident citizens to offer input and insight on how redevelopment can improve and enhance the city.”
