New coronavirus cases in Shelby County rose by 106 from Monday to Tuesday as 1,667 tests were given. That testing put the day’s positivity rate at around 6.3 percent. So far, a total of 43,906 coronavirus tests have been given here. Five new deaths were recorded for a new death toll of 72.
