This statement was just released from the office of district attorney Bill Gibbons regarding whether the D.A. is investigating allegations of stolen voter smartcards: “There have been several reports today that the Shelby County District Attorneys Office is investigating or has asked the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation to investigate an alleged incident of stolen voter ‘smartcards’ from a polling place in Shelby County. These reports are incorrect. This matter has NOT been referred to the D.A.s Office by the Shelby County Election Commission. The D.A.s Office has no information about this alleged incident.
Earlier this week, District Attorney Bill Gibbons asked the TBI to investigate reports of alleged double voting in Shelby County.”
