The Elvis Presley Birthplace & Museum gives visitors a glimpse into the early life of Elvis, providing insights into his rise to fame and his profound impact on music. Visit the humble two-room shack where he was born, explore the museum that chronicles his life, and enjoy a church service in the Assembly of God church that inspired his love for gospel music. Take a walk, or drive, up to the overlook and visit the “Becoming” statue with breathtaking views of Downtown Tupelo below. Finish your visit with a stroll around the property’s lake called Reflections, a spot for a peaceful pause in your day.

With over 200 restaurants, Tupelo’s culinary scene has a little something for everyone, especially the Elvis fan. Stop in at Café 212, a locally owned lunch shop, and try the Blue Suede Grill, their take on Elvis’ go-to peanut butter and banana sandwich. Need a boost of energy? Walk down to Crave and try the Shakerag made with whiskey-flavored espresso and topped with caramel. Plan a visit to Johnnie’s Drive-In, Tupelo’s oldest restaurant, where Elvis loved to eat. Still an operating drive-in, sit in your car and let the friendly car hops take your order, or go inside to sit in the Elvis booth and enjoy a cheeseburger and RC Cola, just like the King. Just be sure to save room for one of their delicious milkshakes!
