Tonight s art openings are at: D Edge Art & Unique Treasures for work by Jeanne Seagle; Studio 1688 for a photography exhibit by W.E. Robison, Jackie Ware, Jason Shackleford, and Willie Bearden; Clark, Dixon Associates for work by Ken Walker; and Painted Planet Artspace for work by Violette Clark, Rob Hooper, Valerie Segeda, Jerry Smahay, and Tom Smothers. On stage, at the ever-cool Sleeping Cat Studio, it s opening night of Abominable Alfie, an original Christmas story by Jim Esposito about a evil little kid who gets what he deserves for Christmas. And at TheatreWorks, it s opening night of A Touch of the Irish, an ensemble performance of works by James Joyce and Eugene O Neill. Hopes Like the Hindenburg and Undecided are opening for Anthrax tonight at the New Daisy. As always, The Chris Scott Band is at Poplar Lounge. Top-ten R&B Charters and Grammy nominees Anthony Hamilton and Javier are at Isaac Hayes tonight. And last but certainly not least, it s a fabulous eighties night at The Lounge with The Bangles, The Romantics, and Jimi Jamison & Survivor. Yeee-ha.
