As the last event of the three-day Stax Music Academy Grand Opening, there s tonight s big SNAP!2002 Grand Finale Concert at The Orpheum, where the children of the SNAP!2002 Summer Camp will perform, and this is one concert you don t want to miss. There are lots of art openings tonight as well. For starters, there s tonight s South Main Art Trolley Tour, with free trolley rides and tours of the district s art galleries and shops, including three opening receptions; they are at Durden Gallery for works by Priscilla Cunningham, at Carnevale for Whimsical Watercolors of the American South by Margaret Hathaway, and at Surgard for works by Keetha Barnes. Other opening receptions tonight are at: ArtFarm Gallery of Fine Art for The Angel Series, works by Wess Loudenslager; Christian Brothers University Gallery for Jack Grue 1896-1956 ; and Circuit Playhouse for Illuminations: New Paintings and Spirit Nooks by Angi Cooper. Also opening at Circuit Playhouse tonight is God s Man In Texas, a dramatic comedy that takes you behind the scenes of modern-day televangelism. Down in Tunica, Ted Nugent is at the Horseshoe Casino. And here at home, Jucifer and The Subteens are at Young Avenue Deli, and, as always, The Chris Scott Band is at Poplar Lounge.
