Last week plans were announced for a $250 million overhaul at Graceland, and now, according to an item in New York Post‘s Page Six, CKX’s Robert Sillerman is already considering expansion … in Las Vegas.

From the story: “IS American Idol owner Robert Sillerman planning to convert the Riviera Hotel & Casino into a shrine to the original American Idol – Elvis Presley? A source says the billionaire investor (who, in 2005, bought 85 percent of the entity that controls Presley’s name and likeness, and tourist operations at Graceland in Memphis) has been quietly looking to buy the Vegas land mark and convert it into the Graceland Casino. Sillerman would seem to have a head start on such an acquisition: In June, he and partner Simon Fuller announced a $1.33 billion deal to take their holding company, CKX Inc., private. In cluded in that deal was CKX’s real estate subsidiary, FX Luxury Realty, which al ready owns a stake in the Riviera.”
