The Indie Memphis Film Festival continues today with a live performance by the Alloy Orchestra, which will provide accompaniment to a screening of the Lon Chaney silent classic The Phantom of the Opera. But the real don’t-miss screening might be of Arkansas “outsider cinema” filmmaker Phil Chambliss, who has made short films in obscurity for decades only to recently become an art-world cause celebre. Three of Chambliss’ films will screen, beginning at 5:15 today at the Muvico Peabody Place theatre downtown.
