he Memphis Tigers got back on the winning track Thursday night with a 64-47 victory over Robert Morris at FedExForum. The Tigers’ Will Barton had a stellar game, scoring 27 points and nailing 13 rebounds. Center Tarik Black tossed in 8 points, blocked 7 shots, and gathered 6 rebounds to help the Tigers’ inside game. Adonis Thomas was the only other Tiger in double figures, with 15 points.
Memphis shot 51 percent from the field, and had 13 blocks. The Tigers hit 6 of 11 three-pointers, with five of those coming from Will Barton. Memphis won the rebounding battle, 42-39, but had 20 turnovers to Robert Morris’ seven.
Memphis held Robert Morris to a 23 percent field goal percentage while shooting 51 percent from the field. Ferrakhan Hall and Antonio Barton moved into the starting lineup for the first time this year. Memphis’ next game is Saturday night against Charlotte.
