This event will be hosted at the Chimes Square Courtyard in the heart of Overton Square on Saturday, May 31, and promises a perfect afternoon of cocktails, music, and community fun, all while supporting a local nonprofit!
Whether you’re a certified margarita connoisseur or just enjoy a good time, Margarita Fest is the perfect way to kick off a Memphis summer in style. This event has been a beloved local tradition for the past ten years that keeps people coming back year after year for the unique flavors and spirit of Memphis. General admission tickets start at just $53, which grants guests access to a passport sampling card — your ticket to margarita paradise. You take your card to each vender to get a stamp and receive your margarita sample. Each ticket gets you twelve 3.5 ounce margarita samplers from different local bars and restaurants. In the spirit of competition, each innovative mixologist has their own unique spin on the classic margarita using the premium tequilas from Don Julio. After tasting all the samplers, guests can then vote on their favorite margarita and see who receives the highly coveted crown of best margarita. Some of the featured margarita makers include local favorites like Babalu, My Favorite Place, Art Bar, Owen Brennan’s, Cane & Herb, with more to be announced!

Early entry ticket holders will have access to the event thirty minutes before the general crowd arrives, starting at 2:30. In addition to the delicious margaritas, the festival is featuring several local venders with fun booths for attendees to explore. State Farm will be hosting an area where you can play a variety of games, Gentleman Smokes will have a tent where you can smoke their premium select cigars, and Silk ‘N Honey Linked Permanent Welded Jewelry will have a booth where you can get permanent bracelets, anklets, and more! Food for the event will be provided for sale by The Genre, known for flavorful wings and crispy catfish, will be serving fan favorites – perfect to pair with your margarita samplers! Event partner Casamigos will have a taste-testing booth where guests can sample their delectable tequilas. Providing the soundtrack for the afternoon will be the exceptional DJ Zetta, whose high-energy sets are guaranteed to get the entire crowd dancing and keep the good vibes flowing from start to finish.
Most importantly, Margarita Festival is more than just a good time: This event is also raising money for a worthy cause. There will be a cash bar where you can buy full-sized cocktails, the proceeds of which will go to local nonprofit Leadership Memphis’ Volunteer Memphis program. This program has been vital to Memphis for 40 years, connecting people with hundreds of local nonprofit organizations that work to serve our community throughout the city by meeting the needs of the underserved, supporting efforts in education and the arts, and helping to maintain our city’s environment.
