The Memphis Music Hall of Fame opens this Friday.
After nine months of construction and preparation, the Memphis Rock ‘n’ Soul Museum will celebrate the grand opening of the new Memphis Music Hall of Fame museum at 6 p.m. on Friday, August 21st. The new museum is located at 126 Beale Street at Second Street, in the same entertainment complex as Hard Rock Cafe and Lansky’s Clothing Store.
Prior to the ribbon cutting, the Memphis Music Hall of Fame will announce the names of the seven new Hall of Fame inductees for 2015. They will be honored at this year’s Memphis Music Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, to be held on October 17 at the Cannon Center for the Performing Arts. Tickets for the Induction Ceremony will also go on sale on August 21. 2015’s new inclusions will bring the total number of inductees to 54.
