Tim Laird likens vodka to a boneless chicken breast — perfectly presentable but not particularly flavorful. He uses Canadian Mist whiskey in traditionally clear-liquor drinks like Manhattans and Cosmopolitans.

Ew, right?

Not so, says Laird. He, along with Steve Hughes, is bringing “Mistology: The Science of the Cocktail”, to the Brooks Museum of Art tonight. He’ll be mixing up a few cocktails to prove his point.
