A recent story by CA columnist Christopher Blank suggested that recent attempts by local arts groups to attract younger members have been less than successful. According to Blank, The Dixon Gallery and Gardens mid-September beer-tasting attracted more than 800 20-to-40-somethings but yielded only four new memberships. This proves the age-old maxim: Everybody loves beer.
