Memphis-based R&B singer Dottie has sung with everyone from Jennifer Lopez to Kendrick Lamar. Now, she’s ready to step into her own spotlight. Produced by Educated Fool, “Outta My Mind” is a song a lot of us can relate to right now. It’s about being overwhelmed with anxiety, not knowing what to do, and leaning on unhealthy habits.
Director Kevin Brooks created this video for Dottie, which wrestles with the issues raised by the song. It’s filled with the stylish images Brooks brings to all his projects, and ends hopefully with a message from Mom.
