“The Memphis Barbecue combines the two great loves of any self-respecting bloke: rock and roll and flammable materials.
“At a shade under £230 it’s a touch on the pricey side for a bog-standard flesh-furnace, but then it is powered by two gas burners, powerful enough to char anything you care to throw at it.”
The British DIY chain B&Q has released a grill dubbed the Memphis Barbecue. This ultracool, retro-style grill has the convenience of gas burners, but what makes the Memphis Barbecue so groovy are the two speakers and the adapter for your mp3 player. You can hook your iPod, Zune, or whatever to the backside of the grill while the music blasts from speakers hidden in the front panel.
While youre slow roasting your ribs, you can groove to Stax classics. Cool, man.
We dont know why Memphis became connected to listening to music from your grill, but we do know that its a neat idea. Too bad its only available in Europe. Check out all the details.
