Shelby County’s positive rate for COVID-19 fell slightly Tuesday to 6 percent from Monday’s rate of 7.7 percent. Monday’s spike came after three days falling rates.
The health department reported that 1,611 tests were given on Tuesday. Of those, 98 were positive. The total number of COVID-19 cases here stands at 5,412. The department also reported three additional deaths, bringing the total number of deaths to 116 in the county.
