For this yearās Downtown Dining Week, more than 50 Downtown restaurants are participating with special features and pre-fixed menus. See menus and participating restaurants here. The Downtown Mobility Center is offering $1 parking, valid for up to two hours between the hours of 11 a.m. and 10 p.m.
šµ Laser Live with Salo Pallini

MoSH is featuring the four-piece instrumental group, Salo Pallini, in the full-dome planetarium, accompanied by a full laser show. The Memphis-based band will play their The Sirens of Titan: A Preemptive Scoring, a musical accompaniment for Kurt Vonnegutās 1959 The Sirens of Titan. Itās supposed to be for a film adaptation of the novel, but that film doesnāt exist at the moment. What does exist is this laser show, which is sure to be awesome ā because lasers, duh. Am I bitter that Christmas decorations are already up at stores? Yes. Am I bitter that Friends of Georgeās is putting on a Christmas show already? No. Because I could never be mad at FOG. This yearās production promises endless laughs, vibrant drag performances, and all the nostalgic charm of a Carol Burnett-styled variety show. Catch a performance this weekend on Friday, November 10, at 8 p.m.; Saturday, November 11, at 8 p.m.; or Sunday, November 12, at 2 p.m. Next weekend performances are at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Coffee, coffee, coffee ā thatās what this event is all about. From roasters to shops and everything in between, the event highlights the amazing people and passion that exists in the coffee community. Attendees will be able to sample various brewing and roasting methods as well as food from more than 20 vendors, both local and from as far away as Wisconsin. This year, for the first time, the expo will have coffee-infused cocktail samples, latte art demonstrations, and panels. Tickets can be purchased here and are priced according to entry time (i.e. $35 for 9 a.m., $30 for 11 a.m., and $25 for noon).
