Memphis Tigers coach Josh Pastner has won CUSA’s Gene Bartow Coach of the Year award. In addition, junior point guard Joe Jackson was named CUSA Player of the Year. The awards were announced Wednesday in Tulsa, site of the CUSA tournament that begins Thursday.
Pastner, in his fourth year at Memphis, led the Tigers to an undefeated conference season at 16-0.
Jackson led the Tigers in scoring, steals, and assists, and shot better than 50 percent from the field.
