The Memphis Redbirds won their first game of the year last night after beginning the season with a record nine straight losses. The ‘Birds beat Omaha 10-3, beginning a one-game win streak that saw them climb to within five games of first place in their division. In celebration, rowdy revelers partied ’til dawn on Beale Street. (Then again, rowdy revelers party ’til dawn on Beale Street every Saturday night, so there may not have been a direct connection.)
At any rate, the PRIDE is back and ‘Birds fans eagerly look forward to today’s 2:10 p.m. Easter Sunday game at AutoZone Park.
