Today is, of course, New Year’s Day. Many of you will likely have a big hangover and try to cure it by eating black-eyed peas and drinking Bloody Marys and the like, but I wouldn’t know anything about that. I do know that another talented songstress, Miki Howard, is in concert tonight at The Peabody, along with The Bassman Wayman Tisdale, Jesse Powell, and Alex Bugnon. And there’s a big Holiday Celebration with FreeWorld and Mini Blues Van at the Full Moon Club. Or you could always starve yourself at the Heal Thyself Fasting Shut-In for the New Year Presented by The Vegan Sisters at the Cultural Connection Children’s Academy.
