It s Egyptian Exhibition Family Day today at the Art Museum of the University of Memphis, with free tours of the exhibition, storytelling, designing of jewelry and amulets, and learning Egyptian measurements. Or you could get out in this great spring weather and enjoy a two-mile Meeman-Shelby Forest State Park Guided Nature Hike that covers moderately difficult terrain and includes information about the park s geographic features. And speaking of parks, Linkin Park is in concert tonight at the Mid-South Coliseum. Tonight s CBU Concert Series by CB Singers and the CBU Chorale is Songs of Peace, Justice, and Reconciliation (good timing, I d say). Today s Hands on Memphis Servathon is the non-profit s biggest day of community service and begins with a big rally at Audubon Park at 8:30 a.m. There s a Planned Parenthood Fund-Raiser featuring Peter Frampton tonight at The Lounge. The Maria Spence Band is at Kudzu s; Native Son is playing the Blue Monkey; Sandra Bray is at French Quarter Suites; Moose Path with Bob Mortimer is at the Full Moon Club; The Mod Saints, The Break-Ups, and The Reigning Sound are at Young Avenue Deli; and The Lost Sounds and Dead City Radio are at the Hi-Tone.
