It’s kind of like Tinder but for work. No Netflix. No chill. No….y’know. Nope. Just work.
Shiftgig announced Monday that it has opened a Memphis office. The company calls itself “a mobile marketplace that connects people with jobs on their mobile phones.”
Locals can now sign in and log on to find on-demand working opportunities for gigs like bartending, serving, and retail warehouse gigs.
“One early client utilized Shiftgig Specialists to fill a variety of positions at the recent Janet Jackson concert at FedExForum,” brags a news release from the company.
The Memphis office will be led by Shiftgig managing director Jordan Lejcar.
He explains how Shiftgig works here:
“With a mobile device, a business can post its staffing needs and then easily communicate with and manage the roster of the Shiftgig Specialists who claim the assignment. For those interested in working shifts, it’s just as simple. They can work when they want and where they want with a few taps on an app.”
Shiftgig is already hooking up workers and gigs in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, and New York.
The company’s Memphis office location is 5575 Poplar. Businesses interested in hiring through Shiftgig and workers looking for shifts should visit www.shiftgig.com.
