The state’s file on the shooting death of Memphis teenager Darrius Stewart contains hundreds of pages of sometimes heavily redacted text that detail the events of that night in July.
But it also has a number of photos, maps, and drawings that tell the story a different way.
There are photos of Stewart, maps of the scene of the shooting, autopsy files that show where Stewart was hit, photos showing injuries sustained by Officer Connor Schilling, photos of the car Stewart was in when it was pulled over, photos of Schilling’s squad car (including the back seat where Stewart was detained), examples of the heavily redacted case file, evidence photos from the scene, and more.
