So who has a longer arm: the law or Florida-based lobbyist Harold Ford Sr.? Since the news broke about a District 29 voting scandal wherein two dead people presumably cast ballots for Ford’s sister Ophelia, the former congressman — and father of senatorial hopeful Harold Ford Jr. — has been conducting his own private investigation.
“Folks will talk to Harold Ford that won’t talk to the TBI,” he told The Commercial Appeal. Since the Tennessee Bureau of Investigations has certain legal advantages over even the powerful Ford family, we can only assume that Harold Sr. is conducting séances in the family funeral parlor. (Cue Twilight Zone theme now.)
