The Memphis man suspected of shooting off-duty Memphis Police Department officer Terence Olridge last weekend could get up 10 years in prison after he was charged Friday with a federal count of felony possession of a firearm.
The new charge comes from the office of Edward Stanton III, U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Tennessee.
Lorenzo Clark, 36, is a suspect in the shooting death of Olridge. Clark and Olridge were neighbors and last Sunday the two began exchanging gunfire close to their Cordova home.
Olridge was shot and was transported to Regional One Health but died of his wounds later Sunday.
The Friday statement from Stanton charges Clark unlawfully possessed a Glock 9mm pistol. Clark told police that
he did possess a Glock 9mm prior to and during the shooting with Olridge. Memphis Police Department [MPD] officers later recovered a Glock 9mm from Clark.

The case under investigation by MPD, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
Clark is scheduled to be in court next week. His bond was set at $100,000.
