Frustrated from issues at work, Anthony Anderson allegedly set his Providence Place apartment on fire in April.

The 30-year-old has been charged with aggravated arson for the reckless act, according to the Shelby County District Attorney General’s office.

On April 25th, Richardson reportedly removed his bed’s comforter, placed it on the kitchen stove, and turned on the burners. He then walked outside and watched the apartment burn.

Firefighters were called to the Providence Place complex around 5 p.m. Upon arrival, they entered Richardson’s apartment and extinguished flames in his kitchen and living room.

Richardson reportedly told investigators he was upset from work-related issues as well as other dilemmas when he set his apartment on fire.

Two apartments were destroyed during the fire. The case is pending action by the Shelby County Grand Jury.
